Ingleborough Bowling Club

The Club, based in Ingleton, North Yorkshire, plays crown green bowls and the green is situated behind the Wheatsheaf Hotel in the village. The Green is easily accessible from the main Community Centre car park or the additional car park just along from the Community Centre.

The green is one of the best in the area and visiting bowlers and members enjoy the fine surface which is maintained all year round by club members.

We run two teams in the Kendal and District league (Tuesday and Thursday evenings) and one team in the Morecambe Bowling League (Usually Wednesday evening).  Starting times are 7.00pm (6.30pm April and August).

Also two vets teams play in the South Westmorland Seniors Bowling League (Monday afternoons).

A number of Saturday afternoons,  friendly games are played with local clubs.

At all other times during the summer the club is open for social bowling  when members can enjoy a less competitive game amongst friends.

The club is always looking to recruit new members so whether you wish to play competitive league bowls, take part in a relaxing friendly game or both, contact us and if you are new to the game we can arrange a visit when the fundamentals of the game can be explained and tried by you.

Membership is £20 with reduced rates for juniors and students.

For anyone wishing to play league bowls, registration with the British Crown Green Bowling association is necessary and costs just £10 one off fee.

Contact us via the contact form if you require more information.
